CA Legal (No Roster Needed)
💡 Understanding CA Gun Laws
- Handgun Roster: Handguns must be on the CA DOJ roster to be sold by FFLs. Off-roster handguns can only be acquired via private party transfer (PPT) from another CA resident.
- Rifles/Shotguns: No roster, but must be "featureless" or have fixed magazines if semiautomatic centerfire.
- 10-Round Limit: All magazines must hold 10 rounds or fewer (with limited exceptions).
- Assault Weapons: Specific configurations are banned. Check our AR-15 guide for rifle specifics.
